Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker and Volunteer Coordinator to join our team at Compassus. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing preventive, educational, and evaluative services to patients and their families, while also managing our volunteer program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, working closely with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Recruit, select, train, supervise, and retain volunteers to support patient care needs.
  • Coordinate volunteer services to meet patient and family needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare reports, in-services, and other documents to demonstrate the value and effectiveness of the volunteer program.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field, with one year of social work experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Master's degree in Social Work with one year of experience in a healthcare setting highly preferred.
  • Licensure required to practice social work, depending on state regulations.

  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Work Environment

This role requires regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity, as well as the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
