Job Summary

A motivated and detail-oriented IP Network Engineer is sought to join our team at Altice USA. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our network infrastructure, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to support the delivery of IP services, including switches, routers, and optical transceivers.
  • Collaborate with change management to identify and mitigate potential network impacts, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and execute detailed network designs and specifications to support Optimum's fiber-based business services.
  • Test and validate the functionality, management, and performance of voice and data service activations supported by metro IP architectures.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call support to restore impaired services and ensure network uptime.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in IP engineering, with a strong background in network design, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
  • Excellent collaborative skills and ability to work effectively with teams across the organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP, UDP, OSPF, VLANs, 802.1Q, SNMP, IPv4, and IPv6 subnetting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Preferred: BS/BA degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science) and/or Cisco Certified Network Associate certification.
