Role Summary:

The Receivables Management Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, processing incoming payments, securing revenue through verification and posting of receipts, and ensuring timely accounting of customer payments. Adherence to established policies and procedures is crucial in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely review and resolution of outstanding payment discrepancies.
  • Processing accounts and incoming payments in line with financial policies.
  • Conducting daily financial transactions, including verification, classification, computation, posting, and recording of accounts receivable data.
  • Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to confirm all payments are accurately accounted for.
  • Addressing discrepancies and resolving client billing issues.
  • Facilitating invoice payments by sending account statements and engaging with customers to resolve outstanding matters.
  • Identifying and implementing necessary process improvements.
  • Interacting with customers to address outstanding issues.
  • Reviewing customer information to validate adjustments and processing approved changes.
  • Responding to inquiries from customers and clerical staff.
  • Monitoring the status of delinquent accounts.
  • Executing various collection actions, including customer outreach and invoice corrections.
  • Completing special projects as assigned.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Exemplary professionalism, responsiveness, and communication skills to cultivate and maintain a robust customer base.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including the use of accounting software, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and email.
  • Experience in delivering customer service to both internal and external clients, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High School Diploma/GED required; a college degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable and general accounting.

This position typically operates in a standard office environment, utilizing common office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
