You have a proven history of delivering exclusive insights and notable enterprise stories. You possess creativity and can approach topics from unique perspectives. You are a problem solver who facilitates pathways to success. You are organized and a leader who motivates others, as well as a mentor who guides your colleagues. You are adaptable regarding subject matter and storytelling formats, eager to explore various reporting and presentation methods, and committed to maximizing the reach of our work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Directing daily news coverage, collaborating with bureaus to break news and enhance stories;
- Generating ideas with reporters and bureaus, ensuring stories and projects stay focused and relevant;
- Leading the coverage of complex stories that span multiple teams, aligning resources, staying current, and delivering in-depth reporting;
- Utilizing audience data in story planning and working with social media, programming, and audience teams to maximize the impact of our journalism.
- Three to five years of experience in an editorial role working alongside reporters, with over 12 years as a professional journalist;
- A demonstrated ability to manage coverage of intricate business topics;
- Exceptional editing and headline creation skills;
- Coaching abilities both on and off deadlines;
- The capacity to keep teams motivated and focused while resolving challenges.
