Your responsibilities will include:
  • Directing daily news coverage, collaborating with bureaus to break news and enhance stories;
  • Generating ideas with reporters and bureaus, ensuring stories and projects stay focused and relevant;
  • Leading the coverage of complex stories that span multiple teams, aligning resources, staying current, and delivering in-depth reporting;
  • Utilizing audience data in story planning and working with social media, programming, and audience teams to maximize the impact of our journalism.
You should possess:
  • Three to five years of experience in an editorial role working alongside reporters, with over 12 years as a professional journalist;
  • A demonstrated ability to manage coverage of intricate business topics;
  • Exceptional editing and headline creation skills;
  • Coaching abilities both on and off deadlines;
  • The capacity to keep teams motivated and focused while resolving challenges.
