Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our team at Western Digital. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for leading complex investigations, developing and implementing HR policies, and providing guidance on employee relations matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead investigations into sensitive HR and Employee Relations issues, including analyzing data and proposing remedial action
  • Conduct end-to-end investigative casework, including interviewing, data analysis, and report writing
  • Analyze casework trends and provide strategic recommendations to the business to proactively address systemic issues
  • Support the creation and maintenance of standards around governance, case assignments, reporting, and service level agreements
  • Use data to anticipate issues, identify opportunities, and design solutions to minimize reactive work
  • Collaborate with leaders to ensure compliance, investigations outcomes, and other ER matters
  • Stay current on business trends, HR and ER trends, employment law, and diversity and inclusion landscapes
  • Ensure operational excellence and develop a high-performance team
  • Work with internal and external partners to ensure a respectful and inclusive workplace culture
  • Drive innovation to solve business and team member problems
Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • 12+ years of leading complex investigations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for Talent Management and Central Investigations processes
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience developing high-performing teams
  • Experience working in a global company leading cross-functional regional and global projects
  • Demonstrated success leading programs and driving process improvements
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proven record of accomplishment in confident communication and stakeholder management
