Clinical Informatics Specialist

The Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Pulaski is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Information Technology Team, you will be responsible for the implementation, delivery, and maintenance of our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement EMR applications to support clinical workflows and improve patient care.
- Collaborate with clinical departments to ensure EMR systems meet regulatory compliance and quality care standards.
- Develop and implement education programs for clinical staff on EMR use and best practices.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical users and the IT Department to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.
- Facilitate the build of new EMR applications as needed and coordinate data collection for reporting.
- Oversee Meaningful Use coordination and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years informatics technology experience with knowledge of patient care flow and documentation.
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current and active Registered Nurse license in the state of Tennessee.
- Strong computer skills and ability to work with multiple systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions in chaotic situations.
