About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the General Manager in leading the team and driving business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Verify that all brand standards are being maintained in each area of the property, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency in our services and facilities.
  • Team Management: Manage the operation of all property departments, promoting a positive and productive work environment that fosters growth and development among team members.
  • Financial Management: Manage all finance and accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, payroll, and ordering procedures, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Guest Experience: Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times, motivating and encouraging staff to solve guest and employee-related concerns.
  • Human Resources: Verify that orientations for new team members are thorough and completed in a timely fashion, taking proactive approaches when dealing with employee concerns.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area. OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
What We Offer

As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $81,000 to $104,000 annually, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, other life and work wellness benefits, and may include other incentives such as stock awards and deferred compensation plans.
