Job Title: Senior Technical Accountant

Resideo is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Technical Accountant to join our Financial Reporting group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for researching and implementing complex accounting standards, developing and maintaining accounting policies, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze complex accounting issues and prepare technical accounting whitepapers
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations
  • Assist entity and segment-level accountants with accounting for unique transactions
  • Stay up-to-date on changes to US GAAP and SEC reporting and implement new accounting standards updates and regulations
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with SEC, US GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations
  • Prepare and present potential solutions and alternative accounting approaches in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA or MBA
  • 5+ years' accounting or finance experience or equivalent public accounting experience
  • 3+ years' experience with quarterly and annual SEC reports
  • 3+ years' experience interpreting or implementing complex accounting standards

The typical base salary for this role ranges from USD $78,840 to $137,160 per year, but varies by specific work location. For example, the base salary for this role in Melville, NY is $90,666 to $157,734 per year. Within a range, Resideo determines base pay for an individual based on various factors, including market conditions, skills, and experience.
