About the Role

Benesch is seeking a skilled Bridge Inspection Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO. As a key member of our infrastructure inspection team, you will be responsible for conducting bridge inspections, generating reports, and providing engineering support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine and special inspections of existing bridges and structures to assess their condition and identify defects.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions required.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all inspections are conducted in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering degree or related field.
  • Colorado PE License desired.
  • Successful completion of one or more of the following FHWA-NHI courses: Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges, Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges, Bridge Inspection Refresher Training.
  • 2-4+ years of relevant bridge inspection experience, DOT experience is a plus.
  • Bridge design experience is a plus.
  • Experience with meeting coordination and public outreach is a plus.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including work outside on foot for extended periods.
  • Training in scour analysis and design, stream stability, fracture critical members, especially AWS, ASNT, confined space, certified climbing, and quality control of reports a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple project sites, including out-of-town.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
