Bridge Inspector and Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our Bridge Inspection Practice Team in Colorado Springs. As a Bridge/Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in building and growing our division while contributing to field inspections and developing your skills in observation, data collection, and technical writing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide inspection and evaluation of in-service bridges and structures to meet client deliverables
  • Review and conduct pre-planning activities with team lead
  • Review bridge plans, previous inspection documents, and other relevant documents
  • Document observations, findings, and other relevant data using checklists and inspection job aids
  • Take photos and videos, verify dimensions, and operate survey and other equipment
  • Assist team lead in creating, writing, and assembling inspection data
  • Participate in the evaluation of findings and corrective action recommendations
Requirements:
  • Pursuing a Civil Engineering Bachelor's Degree on target to graduate December 2024 or May 2025
  • Preferred: FHWA NHI 2-week training course, bridge-specific engineering classes, prior related bridge internship, and passed E.I. exam prior to graduation
