Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the structural technical lead on significant bridge and infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee the creation of structural plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, technical reports, and other essential contract documents.
  • Direct structural engineering analysis and design, employing the latest software and traditional engineering methodologies.
  • Supervise structural engineering personnel, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
  • Conduct occasional site visits and client consultations.
  • Collaborate with internal project leaders to establish delivery timelines and project budgets for bridge and infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License is required (preferably in CO, OR, WA, and/or CA).
  • A minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience, with a focus on bridge and highway structure design.
  • Familiarity with current AASHTO design specifications is essential.
  • Experience in bridge rating and/or inspection is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience in bridge and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD; experience with contemporary bridge design and FEM software, including Bentley OpenBridge, is preferred.
  • Experience with a local client base is beneficial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $135,000 and $185,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
