They will also have the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner, and to foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Essential DutiesThe Assistant Professor of Engineering Technology will be responsible for teaching courses in industrial maintenance, manufacturing engineering technology, quality control, and drafting. They will also be expected to develop and implement innovative teaching methods, and to participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering technology, with experience in teaching at the post-secondary level. They will also have expertise in the subjects being taught, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
Minimum QualificationsA Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or a related field is required. A Master's degree or terminal degree in Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will also have teaching experience at the community college or university level.
Additional qualifications include a strong commitment to innovative teaching methods, with a focus on experiential learning and the integration of real-world examples. The successful candidate will also have the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner, and to foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Preferred QualificationsA terminal degree in Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will also have teaching experience at the community college or university level, and a strong commitment to innovative teaching methods.
