Environmental Field Chemist Job Description

Planet Forward is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Field Chemist to join our team of professionals. As an Environmental Field Chemist, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients by managing their hazardous waste programs and projects, utilizing state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage hazardous waste programs and projects for clients, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct safety equipment inspections and hazardous waste inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform and document environmental health and safety (EHS) audits for clients.
  • Prepare chemical and biological waste for shipment and disposal, including creation of all federal/state waste documents and managing the paperwork for the material.
  • Develop a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and Health and Safety practices.
  • Participate in monthly on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Environmental Science or Business-related degree or relative Military experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team as well as an individual.
