Job Summary:

As a Housekeeper - Environmental Services Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, guests, and staff at ProMedica. Your attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal directions will ensure that all areas are cleaned and prepared to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare patient rooms, restrooms, corridors, and other areas to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
  • Provide general cleaning and services to patient rooms, including making unoccupied beds and cleaning and servicing patient rooms after discharge
  • Notify staff of room readiness and perform other duties as directed
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision and provide excellent customer service
  • Operate and utilize various equipment, including vacuums, putty knives, carts, and trash mobiles
  • Tolerate unpleasant odors and possible exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids

Requirements:

  • Ability to move about the hospital and between workstations
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate and utilize various equipment
