Pediatric Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Life Specialist to join our team at Childrens Hospital Of The Kings Daughter. The successful candidate will provide emotional, educational, diversionary, and developmental support to children and their families to minimize the stress of illness and hospitalization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to children and families to promote optimal growth and development.
- Develop and implement interventions to address the unique needs of each patient and family.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Supervise Child Life interns and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based interventions in child life.
- Master's degree in Child Life or related field.
- Successful completion of 600-hour pediatric Child Life internship.
- Certification in Child Life within one year of hire and maintenance of certification.
- Minimum one year experience in a pediatric healthcare setting.
The Child Life Specialist will work in a normal patient care environment with occasional exposure to communicable disease and moderately adverse working conditions.
