Pediatric Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Life Specialist to join our team at Childrens Hospital Of The Kings Daughter. The successful candidate will provide emotional, educational, and developmental support to children and their families, minimizing the stress of illness and hospitalization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and coping techniques to children and their families
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address the unique needs of each patient and family
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Supervise Child Life interns and provide guidance and support
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in child life and pediatric care
- Master's degree in Child Life or related field
- Successful completion of 600-hour pediatric Child Life internship
- Certification in Child Life within one year of hire and maintenance of certification
- Minimum one year experience in a pediatric healthcare setting
The Child Life Specialist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to communicable disease and moderately adverse working conditions.
