Pediatric Care Specialist

The Child Life Specialist plays a vital role in providing emotional, educational, and developmental support to children and their families during hospitalization. This position requires a strong understanding of child development and the ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes optimal growth and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized plans to address the unique needs of each patient and family.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Supervise Child Life interns and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in child life and pediatric healthcare.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Child Life or a related field.
- Successful completion of a 600-hour pediatric Child Life internship.
- One year of experience in a pediatric healthcare setting, preferred.
- Certification in Child Life within one year of hire and maintenance of certification.
This position requires frequent exposure to communicable disease and moderately adverse working conditions due to the performance of certain patient care activities.
