Pediatric Care Specialist

The Child Life Specialist plays a vital role in providing emotional, educational, and developmental support to children and their families during hospitalization. This position requires a strong understanding of child development and the ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes optimal growth and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and coping techniques to children and their families
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Supervise Child Life interns and provide guidance and support
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in child life and pediatric care
- Master's degree in Child Life or related field
- Certification in Child Life or related field
- Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatric healthcare
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
The Child Life Specialist will work in a hospital setting with frequent exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions.
