Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with business units to identify data sources, required data elements, and data validation standards.
  • Design business intelligence presentations from ad-hoc reports to Microsoft Power BI dashboards.
  • Analyze data from disparate databases or data sources to produce dashboards, metrics, or insights to identify trends or anomalies.
  • Evaluate existing business unit reports and recommend new technologies or enhancements that have the potential to improve business unit information for data-driven decisions.
  • Coordinate with business units for testing, quality assurance, and ensure functionality of dashboards or other presentations are acceptable.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Fabric for database design, query, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of SQL scripting.

Education and Experience
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent industry certifications.
  • Two or more years working with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver's License is required.
  • 5 years' experience as a business analyst or business intelligence specialist.
Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Travel to conferences, meetings, and branch locations on a regular basis may be necessary. Additional requirements include semi-annual disaster recovery testing and occasional application updates on weekends or evenings. May include on-call, after-hours, and weekends support when needed.

This is a sedentary role. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee may have to lift up to 25 lbs.
