RN - Operating Room / Circulator (KSMC / 40 Hours / Days)

As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures. Under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals, you will utilize your clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, directing, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients, as well as coordinating care activities with other healthcare disciplines. Your attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment: Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
- Planning: Develop an individualized nursing plan of care, taking into account the patient's developmental needs and coordinating care activities with other hospital and clinic departments.
- Implementation: Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of medical and/or surgical patients, accurately documenting care in the electronic medical record.
- Evaluation: Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patient response to treatment, participating in unit quality assurance activities.
- Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience circulating in an inpatient or ambulatory O.R. setting, or completion of a preceptorship program from an accredited school.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Previous healthcare experience.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
- Two (2) years of O.R. circulating and scrubbing experience.
- CNOR and ACLS certifications.
- Pre-Op area experience.
- IV skill proficiency.
- Completion/certification from an approved peri-op program.
