PacifiCorp is seeking a seasoned professional to join their team as a Resource Scheduler. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about power generation and interchange scheduling, with a strong focus on customer service excellence and environmental sustainability.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the company's power generation and interchange scheduling activities. They will work closely with various stakeholders, including dispatches and other entities, to ensure optimal transmission and coordination of maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor future and real-time resource conditions to determine available surplus energy
  • Coordinate with traders and trading counterparties to complete scheduling activities
  • Verify availability and purchasing transmission through third-party OASIS sites
  • Pre-schedule energy trading and generation control, and set an operational plan
  • Determine appropriate scheduling procedures for legacy contracts
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Minimum three years of experience with scheduling or dispatching activities
  • Knowledge of power and fuel contracts, pooling arrangements, and licenses
  • Proficient with computer applications and automated tools to support trading activities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of experience in electric utility system operations, power marketing, or power scheduling
  • Knowledge of the WECC transmission grid, power plants, market hubs, and interchange points between companies
  • Experience with electronic tagging and associated NERC and WECC policies and business practices
Benefits:

PacifiCorp offers a competitive salary range of $76,200 - $103,100 per year, with an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 12% of salary. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health care, retirement, paid time off, tuition assistance, paid short-term and long-term disability, and paid bereavement leave.
