Additionally, this position oversees the prompt handling of all medical record requests and prior authorizations for radiology.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting Core Competencies
  • Care Coordination
    • Ensures patient satisfaction by welcoming and proactively addressing patient requirements.
    • Clarifies referral details and expectations to patients.
    • Acts as the primary contact and guide for patients and their families.
    • Collaborates with Health Information Management (HIM) personnel to monitor the status of all provider reports for patients referred to hospitals, specialty clinics, and other healthcare providers.

Educational Requirements:

Completion of a nursing diploma or certification in medical assisting.

Qualifications, Licensure, and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Valid LPN License in LA or Certification as a Medical Assistant.
  • Prior experience in medical case management or health information management is highly desirable.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is mandatory.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.
