Additionally, this position oversees the prompt handling of all medical record requests and prior authorizations for radiology.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Meeting Core Competencies
- Care Coordination
- Ensures patient satisfaction by welcoming and proactively addressing patient requirements.
- Clarifies referral details and expectations to patients.
- Acts as the primary contact and guide for patients and their families.
- Collaborates with Health Information Management (HIM) personnel to monitor the status of all provider reports for patients referred to hospitals, specialty clinics, and other healthcare providers.
Educational Requirements:
Completion of a nursing diploma or certification in medical assisting.
Qualifications, Licensure, and Knowledge Requirements:
- Valid LPN License in LA or Certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Prior experience in medical case management or health information management is highly desirable.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is mandatory.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred.
