Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic procedures for patients and the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Radiology Services: Perform radiology services in a timely manner while maintaining high-quality and cost-efficient diagnostic procedures.
  • Organize Workflow: Organize work flow to prevent delays and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Assist Physicians and Medical Staff: Assist physicians and other medical staff during procedures as requested or required.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with patients, family members, physicians, other medical staff, and NMMC staff members.
  • Attend Required In-Services: Attend required in-services, annual review, and educational programs.
  • Stay Knowledgeable: Stay knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in radiological examinations.
  • Adhere to Policies and Procedures: Adhere to NMHS/NMMC policies, procedures, guidelines, and applicable local, state, and federal policies, procedures, guidelines, regulations, laws, and statues.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Registered or Registry Eligible by ARRT: Registered or registry eligible by ARRT.
  • License as Required by State of Mississippi (MRT): License as required by State of Mississippi (MRT).
  • Possess Strong Knowledge of Radiographic Anatomy: Possess strong knowledge of radiographic anatomy.
  • Keep Abreast of Changes in Radiology: Keep abreast of changes in radiology by attending classes and continuing education provided.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Certification: American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification required.
  • Good Written and Verbal Communication: Good written and verbal communication required.
  • Serves Patient Population Categories: Serves patient population categories of neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
