Job Summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic procedures and excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Procedures: Perform high-quality diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Staff Tech, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Assisting Physicians: Assist physicians and medical staff during procedures as requested or required, providing excellent customer service.
  • Patient Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, family members, physicians, and other medical staff, ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Continuing Education: Attend required in-services, annual reviews, and educational programs to stay up-to-date with the latest procedures and technologies.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in radiological examinations, as well as stay abreast of changes in radiology.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adhere to NMHS/NMMC policies, procedures, guidelines, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: Registered or registry eligible by the American Radiologic Technologists within 6 months of accepting position, and licensed or license eligible by the State of Mississippi within 6 months of accepting position.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Patient Interaction: Interaction with a patient population of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics, is required.
