We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Supervisor to join our team at North Mississippi Health Services. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our clerical staff, staff technologists, and radiologic technology students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the clerical staff, staff technologists, and radiologic technology students to ensure efficient and effective operation of the radiology department.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback regarding individual and team performance to ensure high-quality patient care and departmental productivity.
  • Recommend merit increases and corrective actions for staff within scope of responsibility to promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure that procedures are performed accurately and in a timely manner to maintain high standards of patient care and departmental efficiency.
  • Ensure that equipment and supplies are maintained and used properly to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and physicians as required to ensure seamless coordination of care and services.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advances and procedures in radiology to ensure that our department remains at the forefront of medical imaging technology.
  • Adhere to NMHS/NMMC policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the 3-11 PM shift to meet the needs of our patients and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and goals of North Mississippi Health Services.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed as required by the State of Mississippi (MRT).
  • Minimum of 3 years technical radiographic experience required.
  • Strong organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Serves patient population categories of infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
