Job Title: Project Manager - Power Systems

H.O. Penn Machinery is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Power Systems projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for effectively managing power systems projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery, and maximizing profit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage power systems projects, including coordination, procurement, and delivery of products
  • Ensure cost control and timely closeout of assigned projects
  • Schedule startup service and testing with the manager or service department
  • Make site visits and/or meetings as required for customer installation assistance
  • Communicate and evaluate technical information to customers, vendors, and H.O. Penn colleagues
  • Review project turn-in for spec. compliance and technical operational viability and cost justification
  • Prepare formal engineering submittals for equipment approval
  • Provide closeout documentation (test reports, O&Ms, as-builts, etc.)
  • Provide technical information for Electric Power Generation (EPG) processes, projects, and sales initiatives
  • Develop positive working relationships with Power Systems groups
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in project management or in an industry-related field
  • Excellent organizational skills and excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
  • Strong decision-making skills and high level of professionalism
  • Ability to understand processes and manage numerous projects at a time
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites and factory tests
  • Knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Hand coordination (typing and writing)
  • Occasional forward bending and reaching
  • Occasional walking and climbing stairs
  • Carrying (up to 20lbs.)
