Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our civilian account team at Esri. As an Account Manager, you will play a critical role in identifying and implementing strategies that will radically improve the challenges organizations face.

You will work closely with a team that helps our new and existing tribal customers optimize and expand adoption of Esri technology, identify new areas of growth, and deliver expertise that helps deliver on their mission.

Responsibilities
  1. Build relationships with tribal organizations and develop strategies to improve their use of geospatial technology.
  2. Prospect, develop, and implement location strategies for organizations, maintaining a healthy pipeline of business growth opportunities.
  3. Leverage social media and other avenues to build your professional network and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  4. Participate and present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars to showcase Esri's expertise and build relationships with potential customers.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working in or supporting the federal government.
  • Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
  • Understanding of account management, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the tribal organizations (governments, commercial enterprises) and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
  • Able to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50% of the time.
  • Bachelor's in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and tribal lines of business as they relate to one another.
  • Experience managing the sales cycle.
  • General knowledge of data science or spatial analysis and how it is used for problem solving and uncovering patterns and trends within organizations.
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
  • Understands sensitivities of underserved communities and diverse cultures.
  • Master's in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
