We are in search of a seasoned leader in corporate strategy to enhance our strategic direction. This role is pivotal for steering the organization's growth and strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities encompass leading the annual corporate strategy and planning cycle in collaboration with the executive leadership team, as well as identifying, analyzing, and evaluating market trends, strategic options, and industry shifts while effectively communicating insights. The ideal candidate will be a proactive strategist prepared to shape and implement corporate strategies within a patient-focused and collaborative framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development and Communication

  • Oversee the annual corporate strategy and planning cycle in partnership with the executive leadership team, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and comprehensive input.
  • Perform thorough analyses of biotech trends, market conditions, advancements in allergy and immunology, and the regulatory landscape to pinpoint growth opportunities and unique positioning. Prepare and present briefing materials to communicate findings effectively.
  • Work closely with the executive team and cross-functional leaders to define, lead, and implement the corporate strategy.
  • Investigate, assess, and propose strategies and actions that align with Astria's corporate objectives.
  • Create and prepare corporate strategy presentations for executive management and Board meetings, articulating complex concepts in accessible frameworks to engage diverse audiences.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and scientific advancements to refine strategies as necessary.

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Translate vision and strategy into actionable plans with designated resources and timelines, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and milestones.
  • Lead and manage strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives, developing project plans, timelines, and milestones while coordinating with stakeholders to drive progress and achieve goals. Monitor project status, identify potential risks, and implement necessary mitigation strategies.
  • Promote a culture centered on patient care, collaboration, innovation, and scientific excellence, advocating for initiatives that propel the company's success in allergy and immunology.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a STEM field or finance; PhD or MBA preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, with experience in biopharma management consulting and startup environments highly valued.
  • 10+ years of experience within biotech or pharmaceutical settings.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities.
