Position Overview

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for comprehensive test planning, crafting both manual and automated test cases, ensuring the quality of software updates prior to production deployment, and troubleshooting issues related to eCommerce platforms and services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Developing thorough test plans to encompass all relevant areas and features.
  2. Executing manual and automated tests while analyzing the outcomes.
  3. Conducting exploratory testing within the agile development framework.
  4. Documenting issues meticulously, including detailed bug reports.
  5. Collaborating effectively with cross-functional team members.
  6. Providing proactive status updates as necessary.
  7. Validating regular software releases to production environments.
  8. Cooperating with customer support to replicate and diagnose client issues.
Collaborative Relationships

Internal: Engages with the eCommerce development team, Customer Service, and other corporate personnel.

External: Interacts with vendors and wireless service providers.

Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing.
  2. Strong analytical skills with a focus on troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  3. Familiarity with software testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  4. Ability to approach both standard and unconventional scenarios creatively.
  5. Experience in web-based testing and multi-tiered systems.
  6. A demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  7. Self-motivated and quick to learn, with excellent communication skills.
  8. A collaborative team player who is confident and enthusiastic.
  9. Knowledge of SQL and fundamental software design principles.
  10. Experience in test development using C# and .NET is advantageous.
  11. Familiarity with tools such as Fiddler or Selenium, and eCommerce experience are considered a plus.
  12. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
