The Apple Cloud Engineering division is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to integrate and validate software, orchestrating workloads across advanced and energy-efficient systems that will drive the future of data centers.


In this collaborative environment, you will play a pivotal role in various initiatives aimed at leveraging hardware acceleration for machine learning and high-performance computing tasks.

You will collaborate with teams throughout Apple to customize, adapt, and scale software on an innovative computing platform, contributing to the foundation of our upcoming cloud architecture.

We are in search of an individual with demonstrated expertise in building and managing scalable, resilient systems.

Your background should reflect a strong combination of education and hands-on experience, along with a genuine enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
You will engage cross-functionally with architecture, platform design, SOC architects, and software teams to automate and validate exceptional hardware, software, and services.

You will take charge of constructing and sustaining the system infrastructure that supports the next generation of data centers. Your role will involve ensuring high quality and agility through unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests.

You will be accountable for designing, implementing, and executing test plans and test suites based on specification documents.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as C/C++, Golang, Python, or Shell
- Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of microservice architectures and deployment strategies in cloud and/or edge environments
- Familiarity with cloud orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Nomad, Apache Mesos, or similar

Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to assess issues, prioritize effectively, and propose solutions
- Experience with Swift, Objective-C, and Apple development tools is a significant advantage
- Passion for software architecture, APIs, and high-performance extensible software
- Creative, collaborative, and product-focused mindset
- Excellent communication skills

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our overall compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows for growth as you advance in your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, with your specific base pay depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the chance to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
