Role Summary:
The Apple Media Products Engineering team exemplifies Apple's dedication to merging creativity with technology. This group is responsible for powering essential services such as the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Books, delivering diverse entertainment options in over 35 languages across more than 150 countries.
Engineers in this team create secure, comprehensive solutions, developing custom software for processing creative content, server-side systems, and APIs for various Apple services. The unique integration of hardware, software, and services at Apple fosters collaboration towards a unified vision, which includes a strong commitment to enhancing Apple's privacy policies, a core value of the company.
Despite the growing significance of services in Apple's business, these teams maintain a small, agile, and cross-functional structure, providing extensive exposure to numerous opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute both automated and manual testing strategies.
- Collaborate on app development for iOS and macOS, with experience in tool development (web applications, Python, JavaScript) being advantageous.
- Conduct testing for mobile applications, including knowledge of tvOS, macOS, and watchOS.
- Exhibit a profound understanding of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) methodologies and practices.
- Take ownership of a complete functional area of an application or product.
- Maintain professionalism and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, flexibility, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Swift (XCTest), Python, and Shell scripting.
- Extensive experience with QA tools and automation.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in work automation, manual testing, and mobile application testing.
- Familiarity with app development for iOS and macOS, as well as tool development in web applications, Python, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of tvOS, macOS, and watchOS is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage both manual and automated testing in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, determined within a range that reflects your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300.
Apple employees have the opportunity to participate in discretionary employee stock programs, including restricted stock unit awards and discounts on Apple stock through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
