Job Summary:

The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services seeks a highly skilled and experienced Special Projects Coordinator to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in public health administration, project management, and research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior-level consultative services and technical assistance to the agency leadership in the areas of inter- and intra-agency program coordination for CHI.
  • Oversee special projects using a public health prevention framework, including maternal and child health, behavioral health, chronic disease, and other public health special projects.
  • Conduct specialized research projects, studies, and analysis, including needs assessment and surveillance, health impact assessment, and economic evaluation.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, procedures, and reports to monitor the progress and schedule of projects.
  • Coordinate with CHI program staff to ensure performance measure needs and processes, gathering, tracking, and reporting performance data.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in public health, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in public health administration, project management, and research.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws related to public health administration and project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
