Position Overview
The Customer Service Cashier Supervisor exemplifies and delivers outstanding, professional service to customers.

This role involves accurately processing transactions and payments at the register, along with overseeing store closing responsibilities, managing the front end, and supervising the overall store operations as assigned.

Job Responsibilities
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and setting a standard for others.
  • Efficiently scanning and entering items into the register.
  • Processing all forms of payment in accordance with company standards.
  • Utilizing basic math skills and demonstrating proficiency with 10-key operations.
  • Effectively communicating information regarding membership and programs.
  • Handling merchandise returns with a positive attitude.
  • Bagging groceries following established guidelines.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized register area.
  • Ensuring compliance with sanitation, cleanliness, and safety protocols.
  • When in a supervisory capacity, overseeing the front end and ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Addressing security concerns with care and responsibility.
  • Safeguarding the well-being of staff and customers as well as the security of company property.
  • Managing daily equipment usage and addressing any issues while upholding store standards.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service.
  • Availability for various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Capability to operate an electronic cash register.
  • Basic math proficiency and accuracy in handling cash transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred; experience in grocery cashiering is a plus.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motions, and lifting weights of 10-40 lbs.
  • Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
  • A valid Food Worker Card from the relevant health department is required.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification is necessary if hired (cost covered by the company).
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
