Position Overview
The Customer Service Cashier Lead exemplifies and delivers outstanding, professional customer service.

This role involves accurately and efficiently processing transactions at the register, along with responsibilities for store closing tasks, overseeing the front end, and managing the overall store operations as required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Demonstrating and providing exceptional, professional customer service.
  • Efficiently scanning and entering items into the register.
  • Receiving and processing all payments in accordance with company standards.
  • Utilizing basic math skills and proficiency with a 10-key calculator.
  • Effectively communicating about the company’s membership and programs.
  • Handling merchandise returns in a courteous manner.
  • Bagging groceries following company guidelines.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized register area.
  • Ensuring compliance with sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • When acting in a supervisory capacity, overseeing the front end and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Addressing security concerns responsibly.
  • Safeguarding the well-being of staff and customers, as well as the security of company property.
  • Managing daily equipment usage and addressing any issues while adhering to store standards.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional, professional customer service.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to operate an electronic cash register.
  • Proficient in basic math skills and handling cash accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred; experience in cashiering and grocery retail is a plus.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motions, and lifting weights of 10-40 lbs.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
  • A current Food Worker Card from the appropriate health department is required.
  • If selected for this role, CPR/First Aid Certification will be provided at no cost.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
