Job Title: Sales Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Project Manager to join our team at Generac Power Systems. As a Sales Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales operations projects, defining and implementing consistent sales initiatives and processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage sales operations projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and implement sales initiatives and processes to drive business growth and improve sales performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales strategies.
  • Identify and document project deliverables, team members assigned, and expected due dates.
  • Communicate regularly with team members to ensure all pieces are on task and progress is being made.
  • Manage and execute overall project timelines, identifying risks and communicating progress to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline business processes, drive efficiencies, and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on sales channel initiatives, impacting systems, reporting, policies, and process improvements.
  • Participate and coordinate strategic planning sessions and sales meetings to ensure focus on key business priorities.
  • Identify project issues and develop solutions to meet project goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales operations, business strategy, project management, or a similar role within a large, complex organization.
  • MBA or other relevant graduate degree.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement or other process improvement methodologies.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
  • Cross-functional project management and collaboration.
  • Experience in the energy sector or a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience partnering with and influencing Sales Leaders.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Skill at managing stakeholder groups and balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness.
  • Experience in handling sales performance reporting and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in using CRM.
  • Comfortable leading meetings and guiding team members toward a centralized goal.
  • Ability to think cross-functionally and provide solutions across a large, complex organization.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Ability to gain internal buy-in from multiple partners & business segments.
  • Able to influence others without direct authority and work effectively with many levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, management, motivation, and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with initiative and vision.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with sales teams and other stakeholders.
  • Builds trust and demonstrates integrity in all circumstances.
