Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

The main role of this position is to advocate for and sell service agreements related to commercial building systems, which encompass fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, sound, communication, and inspection services. Assess customer requirements and formulate sales strategies to fulfill those needs. Achieve sales targets to meet the outlined sales objectives. Foster a positive and ongoing relationship with clients. Maintain an active proposal backlog that aligns with the sales strategy. Conduct assessments of buildings to facilitate the creation of estimates.

Approach to Success

  • Initiate contact with potential clients and evaluate prospective buyers of service contracts through scheduled sales meetings, lead follow-ups, and strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Identify customer needs and craft a sales strategy that enhances understanding of the company's service offerings.
  • Achieve sales targets to fulfill the sales plan.
  • Maintain an active proposal backlog that supports the attainment of the designated sales objectives.
  • Conduct building assessments to aid in the preparation of estimates.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of all sales-related activities.
  • Submit all necessary sales reports, expense claims, competitive insights, and correspondence promptly and accurately.
  • Build and sustain a positive relationship with clients to ensure that Johnson Controls meets their needs, fostering long-term loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the service department to generate leads for service or equipment upgrades.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • One to three years of sales experience in a relevant field with a demonstrable record of success.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to persuade and close sales effectively.
  • Capability to manage a variety of situations encountered during the sales process.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, with the capacity to persuade and close sales while managing diverse situations independently.

Preferred:

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred.
