Opportunity for a Senior Commercial Loan Underwriter at MRINetwork Jobs

We are seeking a qualified Senior Commercial Loan Underwriter to enhance our operations. Below are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:

  • Assess commercial credit applications
  • Draft and endorse credit authorizations
  • Examine and interpret profitability, cash flow, credit reports, and financial ratios to ensure compliance with guidelines
  • Evaluate and confirm collateral
  • Analyze competitive and economic factors affecting borrowers, along with general business conditions and management
  • Determine borrower creditworthiness and risk factors, proposing risk mitigation strategies
  • Prepare credit authorization memoranda and recommend credit approvals, including detailed financial review reports and assessments of credit risk
  • Compile reports on problematic loans and provide insights into the financial health of borrowers
  • Assist account officers in the management of loan portfolios
Qualifications for the Position
  • At least 5 years of experience in Commercial and Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loan underwriting
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • Expertise in commercial credit products, principles, and procedures
  • Familiarity with business management tools, financial statements, ratios, budgets, and more
  • Capability to analyze financial statements, business reports, and legal documents
  • Understanding of federal and state banking regulations along with strong mathematical skills
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
