ABOUT SILVER LAKE HOSPITAL

Silver Lake Hospital is a specialized long-term acute care facility renowned for offering patients a supportive environment to recuperate before returning home. As a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH), we focus on delivering advanced care for patients with higher acuity who have not improved with short-term treatments at general hospitals. The typical duration of stay in an LTACH is significantly longer than that in traditional hospitals, allowing for comprehensive recovery.


ROLE SUMMARY

The Clinical Liaison is responsible for facilitating communication between patients, healthcare providers, and referring institutions to guarantee a smooth admissions process. This role involves assessing the clinical condition of patient referrals, determining patient requirements, and conducting insurance verifications to secure necessary authorizations. Additionally, the Clinical Liaison will support both referring and accepting facilities in addressing the specific needs of patients.

This position requires travel to various referring facilities, with reimbursement provided for travel and related expenses.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in managing admissions from healthcare providers.
  • Background in critical care, trauma, wound care, or other specialized medical environments.
  • Familiarity with Medicare and insurance verification processes.
  • Exceptional communication abilities with diverse hospital personnel, physicians, and referral sources.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
