The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is on the lookout for a passionate Coordinator to enhance their Arts & Well-Being initiatives. This program is dedicated to promoting health and wellness through a variety of inclusive and diverse artistic endeavors within community and healthcare environments. The Coordinator will oversee the organization and execution of multiple arts-related programs and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with community and healthcare partners for effective program development and delivery
  • Supervise artists, staff, and volunteers during events
  • Coordinate with various internal departments to ensure seamless program execution
  • Act as a representative for Arts & Well-Being at community outreach and recruitment events

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in event planning or management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple projects at once
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Newark area
  • Experience in event production
  • Interest in the intersection of arts and health
  • Training in culturally sensitive and trauma-informed arts practices
  • Spanish language proficiency is advantageous
