The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is on the lookout for a passionate Coordinator to enhance their Arts & Well-Being initiatives. This program is dedicated to promoting health and wellness through a variety of inclusive and diverse artistic endeavors within community and healthcare environments. The Coordinator will oversee the organization and execution of multiple arts-related programs and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with community and healthcare partners for effective program development and delivery
- Supervise artists, staff, and volunteers during events
- Coordinate with various internal departments to ensure seamless program execution
- Act as a representative for Arts & Well-Being at community outreach and recruitment events
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event planning or management
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple projects at once
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Newark area
- Experience in event production
- Interest in the intersection of arts and health
- Training in culturally sensitive and trauma-informed arts practices
- Spanish language proficiency is advantageous
