Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Behavioral Disorders

The University of Texas at Austin, College of Education, Department of Special Education, is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor in the area of emotional and behavioral disorders. We are looking for a colleague who will conduct research, teaching, and mentorship on interventions and prevention-oriented approaches for students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
Our department has a strong research focus and is committed to advancing equity and eliminating disparities in health and education. We are seeking a candidate who will contribute to our mission and values, which include creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for students, faculty, and staff.
The successful candidate will have a strong research record and a commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. They will also have experience working with traditionally underserved student populations and a strong potential for securing extramural research funding.

Qualifications- Ph.D. in special education, school psychology, psychology, or other closely related field
- Record of scholarly leadership and teaching in the areas of intervention and prevention-oriented systemic approaches for children or adolescents with or at-risk for emotional and behavioral disorders
- Demonstrated record of securing extramural research funding
- Experience or capacity to teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students from a wide range of backgrounds
