Job Summary:
The Loan Processing Assistant will assist the Sr. Loan Processor with obtaining 3rd party documentation for the loan file. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, and experience with technology and email platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Sr. Loan Processor with obtaining 3rd party documentation for the loan file.
2. Order and obtain borrower credit card information, tax transcripts, condo documentation, verbal and written verifications of employment, and updated hazard and/or flood insurance policies.
3. Review and ensure accuracy of 4506T form for ordering tax transcripts.
4. Place orders, follow up with any order issues, and keep LP informed.
5. Retrieve results and ensure they are complete and uploaded for LP review.
6. Perform any additional duties/activities assigned by management.
Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required (Bachelor's degree preferred).
2. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
3. Strong customer service skills - ability to build rapport quickly.
4. Technology savvy - able to operate a computer and have experience with email platforms.
5. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Excellent time management skills and ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Mortgage experience a plus - not required.
8. Working knowledge of Encompass.
