Role Purpose:

As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement tailored treatment strategies aimed at improving the social, communication, and adaptive capabilities of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one ABA therapy sessions.
  • Adhere to the established Treatment and Behavior Support Plan.
  • Comply with all organizational, state, and insurance guidelines.
  • Implement individualized ABA treatment strategies in a structured environment as directed by the BCBA.
  • Accurately document client behavior and progress during therapy sessions.
  • Utilize positive reinforcement and behavior modification techniques to promote desirable behaviors.
  • Assist in the development of innovative programs to address challenging behaviors.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients during therapy.
  • Provide ongoing updates to the supervising BCBA regarding client progress.
  • Engage in team meetings, training, and supervision as required.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines set by The Kennedy Collective.
  • Document therapy sessions using the designated software.
  • Ensure all required training is up to date.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and family members.
  • Safeguard the rights and safety of individuals by following privacy regulations and reporting any concerns.
  • Respond to emergencies and behavioral incidents as necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field or related area, with one year of experience working with children with ASD; or an associate's degree with two years of relevant experience.
  • Completion of 18 hours of continuing education in ASD services within the last three years.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Demonstrated compassion and patience in working with individuals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet navigation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical stamina to perform PMT holds as needed.
  • Capability to assist with personal care tasks, including toileting and feeding.
