Behavior Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Behavior Analyst to join our team in providing in-home consultation services for individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences, Special Education, or a related field, and be Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed in the State of Connecticut (LBA).
Job Summary:The Behavior Analyst will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, training caregivers, and overseeing the implementation of behavior support strategies within the home environment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of behavioral principles and be able to apply them in a real-world setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the function(s) of challenging behaviors exhibited by individuals in the home setting.
- Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans that incorporate proactive strategies, teaching replacement behaviors, and utilizing positive reinforcement techniques.
- Provide direct consultation to caregivers and other relevant stakeholders in implementing behavior support strategies effectively within the home environment.
- Train and educate caregivers, family members, and other individuals involved in the care of the individual on behavior management techniques, data collection methods, and strategies for promoting skill acquisition and independence.
- Maintain regular communication with caregivers, families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care and consistency in implementing behavior support plans.
- Establish data collection systems to monitor individual progress and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior support interventions.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences, Special Education, or a related field.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed in the State of Connecticut (LBA).
- Two years of experience within Behavioral Health Services and/or with persons with autism.
- Two years of experience assisting with the development of behavioral programs for persons with disabilities.
- Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
