Behavioral Health Specialist

The Kennedy Collective Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Behavior Analyst to join our team in providing in-home consultation services for individuals with disabilities. This role involves conducting assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, training caregivers, and overseeing the implementation of behavior support strategies within the home environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the function(s) of challenging behaviors exhibited by individuals in the home setting.
- Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans based on the findings of the FBA, incorporating proactive strategies, teaching replacement behaviors, and utilizing positive reinforcement techniques.
- Provide Direct Consultation to caregivers and other relevant stakeholders in implementing behavior support strategies effectively within the home environment.
- Train caregivers, family members, and other individuals involved in the care of the individual on behavior management techniques, data collection methods, and strategies for promoting skill acquisition and independence.
- Maintain regular communication with caregivers, families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care and consistency in implementing behavior support plans.
- Establish data collection systems to monitor individual progress and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior support interventions.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on observed outcomes and changing needs.
- Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences, Special Education, or related field.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed in the State of Connecticut (LBA).
- Two years of experience within Behavioral Health Services and/or with persons with autism.
- Two years of experience assisting with the development of behavioral programs for persons with disabilities.
- Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and must maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Must maintain PMT and CPR certification.
- Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office and the Internet.
- Communicate clearly in oral and written form on a constant basis.
- Work independently; utilize good judgment and possess a strong sense of initiative.
