We are seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on an independent contractor basis. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Provide hands-on support for day-to-day payroll operations, troubleshooting discrepancies and resolving queries.
- Assist in payroll system implementations, with Workday experience being a significant advantage.
- Support equity-related payroll transactions, particularly in public company environments.
- Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll data, adhering to strict data protection protocols and security measures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll operations, ideally within the Americas, with a focus on Brazil and Mexico.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements across multiple countries in the Americas.
- Proven experience with payroll systems, with familiarity in Workday highly preferred, especially if involved in a Workday implementation.
- Experience with equity compensation and its integration into payroll processes is a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a go-getter attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a small team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
