Job SummaryWe are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to participate in our year-long residency program. As a resident, you will provide direct nursing care, work alongside a coach, and develop clinical judgment, communication skills, and complex nursing skills.
Responsibilities- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs
- Provide direct nursing care alongside a coach, adhering to established policies, procedures, and protocols
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability
- Initiate and/or maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care for patients
- Respond to data indicating risk to individual health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk
- Seek supervision, consultation, or assistance when unable to perform safely and independently
- Comply with established hospital/department personnel policies
- Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes
- Document patient medical records according to established guidelines
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit or department
