Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic's Euclid Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Resident to join our Emergency Department team. As a RN Resident, you will participate in a comprehensive residency program designed to support your growth and development as a professional nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Participate in a residency core curriculum, tailored to your individual learning needs, to develop your clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Establish and prioritize patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
  • Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care for patients.
  • Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
  • Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
  • Comply with established hospital and departmental personnel policies.
  • Use effective communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
  • Document patient care activities in the medical record according to established guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within one year of hire, if working in a Critical Care area.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within one year of hire, if working in an Emergency Department.
