Cleveland Clinic's Euclid Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to participate in a year-long residency program in our Intensive Care Unit. As a RN Resident, you will provide direct nursing care, work alongside a coach, and develop clinical judgment, communication skills, and complex nursing skills.
Responsibilities- Participate in a residency core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Establish and revise priorities for patient care activities based on acuity, patient preference, and resource availability.
- Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Respond to data indicating risk to patient health and take corrective action.
- Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when needed.
- Comply with hospital and departmental personnel policies.
- Use effective communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Document patient information in medical records according to established guidelines.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit or department.
