Nurse Resident

Cleveland Clinic's Euclid Hospital is a leading healthcare provider in Cuyahoga County, offering world-class patient care and a supportive work environment. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will participate in a year-long residency program designed to help you develop your clinical skills and judgment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients with major medical and surgical diagnoses.
- Work collaboratively with a coach to develop your clinical skills and judgment.
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on your individual learning needs.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
- Initiate and/or maintain interventions to assure continuity of safe/effective care for patients.
- Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation, assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Comply with established hospital/department personnel policies.
- Use communication strategies in order to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Document in patient's medical record according to established guidelines.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
- Other certifications may be required based on unit or department.
