Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our team at The Hotel Portsmouth. As a Housekeeping Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel rooms and common areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Room Preparation: Ensure guest rooms are clean and tidy according to our hotel's standards before guests arrive.
  • Common Area Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of common spaces, including the hotel lobby, corridors, and public restrooms.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document rooms cleaned and report lost and found items, as well as any damage or repairs needed.
  • Guest Services: Respond to general questions and requests from guests during their stay.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Perform various cleaning duties, including making beds, stripping sheets, restocking rooms with toiletries, doing laundry, vacuuming, and mopping.
Requirements
  • Strong Work Ethic: Possess a strong work ethic and excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Over 1 year of experience as a professional housekeeper preferred.
  • Cleaning Techniques and Products: Possess a good understanding of cleaning techniques and products.
